Keep your team in the loop

We strongly recommend using a shared team email for your team contact info. Keep your team involved, include a parent, guardian, or trusted adult when needed, and follow your team’s safety rules.

Plan a safe pickup

Confirm the item’s condition, price, and pickup details before making the drive. We recommend meeting at a team workspace or public location and bringing a teammate or trusted adult.

You arrange payment and pickup directly with the other team. Spare Bear doesn’t process payments or guarantee listings.

What people can see

Your posts, listing photos, name, role, team number, and city are public. Avoid putting personal addresses, phone numbers, or other private details in descriptions and photos.

Your sign-in email isn’t displayed publicly. On the website, team contact info is available to signed-in, eligible accounts with confirmed emails.

Sharing beyond the website

When community announcements are enabled, free offers and requests are shared with subscribed Slack and Discord channels, including listing photos and the team contact info you provide. Paid offers aren’t shared this way.

Channel members can see those details without signing in to Spare Bear. Updates or removals may take time, and screenshots or forwarded copies can remain.

If something seems wrong

Use “Report this post” or “Report this user” to flag a concern. Accepted post reports hide the listing while moderators review it; user reports start an account review.

Account details don’t verify someone’s identity or team membership. Check with the team if you’re unsure. Deleted posts may be retained privately for moderation.
